Refurbishment and enhancement
The renovation work and conservation project have been designed, planned and supervised by Anteris S.r.l. (www.anteris.it) and required a long and complex phase of work. Since the beginning, the guiding principles have been cohesion and fidelity. Therefore, the aim of the project has always been preserving the authenticity of the fifteenth-century building, both with the materials used for the restoration and the refurbishment techniques.
The work of Studio Anteris focused on the refurbishment and the enhancement of the peculiarities of the building and its inner spaces, such as the fresco decoration on the ceiling of a room at the piano nobile, the wall decoration of the hall area, the typical terrazzo pavings, the scorzoni inner walls, the timber floor slabs, as well as an Italian Gothic arch and many other architectural elements made of Istrian stone that have been brought to light.
Furthermore, the plasters and the painting have been realised with building materials made of natural hydraulic lime from the Trentino caves, precisely as the ancient Venetian constructors used to do.
